Location: Fuenlabrada, Madrid
Final Construction: 2007
Built Area: 2000 m2
Emptying the old Fuenlabrada Town Hall of the elements inside it is the first step of the transformation process of the execution project established for this area.
As a computer formatted integral process, the area is reduced to its basic structural elements, allowing an episodic, programmatic construction generated by the different and changing uses of the space.
Representing such architecture, invisible but fraught with forces which pierce and reconfigure it, is the main objective of creating the centre’s identity. Intervention concentrates on the construction of an immersed area, activated by the qualified presence of the installations which go hand in hand with the users´ activities throughout the whole building.
